FBI and FDIC Inspector General conducted the investigation.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Tuesday that a senior attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting children online. The attorney, Mark Black, was active in two groups that located prepubescent girls online, convinced them to livestream themselves performing explicit acts, and secretly recorded the livestream to share with the groups.
The FBI and the FDIC’s Office of Inspector General conducted the investigation in the case, and found that defendant had participated in online coercion twice in 2019. Black pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography and one count of coercion and enticement. He faces a minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of a life sentence.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For FBI agents as they conduct investigations to prevent child exploitation.
- For Justice Department officials and attorneys as they argue cases in federal courts.
- For the protection of American youth from groomers and predators and for the healing of survivors of exploitation.
